Simulating GPS on a real iPhone to test location features

Updated 2026-10-10

Simulators only get you so far. To see how a location feature really behaves, notifications, background updates, geofences, run it on a real iPhone and move that iPhone around the world from your desk.

Set an exact spot

Search an address, paste coordinates or a map link, or click the map. Useful for checking region-specific content, store finders and geofence entry.

Move like a real person

The Move tab sends your iPhone from A to B along real roads at walking, cycling or driving speed, with optional stops on the way. Natural speed speeds up and slows for corners like a real trip, which is handy for testing tracking and arrival logic.

Replay a route

Load a GPX file to replay a recorded route exactly (Pro). Schedules can move the iPhone to set places at set times.

Without the computer

After a one-time setup, the Pinshift iPhone app changes the location on its own, with a widget, Lock Screen controls and Siri.
